**Despite enforcement efforts, US maintains Cambodia’s Tier 3 trafficking ranking**
The US Department of State has maintained Cambodia’s Tier 3 position in its 2026 Trafficking in Persons Report. The unchanged ranking, the lowest available, stems from the Kingdom’s failure to prosecute those involved in trafficking scam centre workers and those directly benefiting from the centres.
