柬埔寨政府已正式发布《义务兵役法》，该法律将于2026年5月25日起正式生效。
根据法律规定，所有柬埔寨籍公民均有义务履行兵役。对于逃避兵役的公民，政府将依法追究法律责任。在和平时期，逃避兵役者将面临罚款以及6个月至2年的监禁。

**Military service law published; Wartime draft dodgers will face up to five years jail**
Under the Kingdom’s new The Law on Compulsory Military Service, Cambodian citizens who evade military duty will face fines and jailtime of from six months to two years in prison. These penalties will increase during times of war or other security threats.
