Korea-Cambodia Joint Task Force Expands Focus to Cybercrime and Drugs
PHNOM PENH, May 12, 2026 — South Korean police will train 10 Cambodian police officers in advanced techniques to combat online fraud and transnational cybercrime under a regional security cooperation programme launched this month, according to South Korean media reports.
The programme, organised under the “K-Police Wave” initiative, will provide specialised training to law enforcement officers from Cambodia and Laos focused on online scam investigations and digital crime suppression.
According to reports by The Korea Times, the Cambodian participants include 10 investigators from the Cambodia-South Korea joint task force and intelligence units dealing with cases involving South Korean nationals in Cambodia.
