A delegation of 25 prominent Chinese business and investment institutions has conducted an in-depth exploratory mission to evaluate large-scale investment opportunities in Cambodia, positioning the Kingdom as their next primary strategic destination. The high-level economic engagement was formalized during a working meeting on August 31, 2026, between H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and the Chinese delegation led by Wang Boyong, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy.
Organized under the framework of the Cambodia Trade and Investment Promotion Association initiative, the delegation sought detailed insights into the Kingdom’s strategic advantages and large-scale project potential.
