[Op-Ed] Recent remarks by Thailand’s ambassador to the UN Cherdchai Chaivaivid, concerning Cambodians living in areas along the Cambodia–Thailand border deserve careful consideration — not because they should become another source of political confrontation, but because they highlight once again the urgent need for both countries to return to the established legal and bilateral mechanisms for resolving their border questions.
