**CMAC warning: Millions of Thai cluster munitions could cause decades-long economic crisis**
As many as an estimated six to seven million cluster submunitions may have been dispersed across Cambodia during what one official described as “Thailand’s war of aggression” in 2025. They could potentially threaten lives and restrict the economic use of land for decades, according to the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC).
