旅游部赴海口举办路演 推广免签政策吸引中国游客

The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Haikou Municipal Government, organized the B2B event “Cambodia Tourism Roadshow to China” to promote Cambodian tourism and Cambodia’s visa exemption policy for Chinese citizens. At the invitation of the Haikou Municipal Government, H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over and delivered the opening remarks at the “Cambodia Tourism Roadshow and Promotion of Cambodia’s Visa Exemption Policy for Chinese Citizens” held in Haikou City, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by Mr. Liu Cheng, Deputy Director General of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, Publication and Sports of Hainan Province; Mr. Iv Sokhom, Consul General of Cambodia to Hainan Province; representatives of the Haikou Municipal Government; executives of major Chinese tourism enterprises and investors; and local media representatives, with a total of more than 150 participants. Speaking on this important occasion, H.E. the Minister emphasized that Cambodia and China are brothers and ironclad friends with a long-standing historical relationship. Tourism and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries continue to serve as important pillars in building the Cambodia–China community with a shared future in the new era. In addition, H.E. the Minister highlighted that Cambodia is a safe tourism destination that offers warmth, hospitality, and convenience to visitors of all nationalities, especially Chinese tourists. At the same time, H.E. the Minister reaffirmed that Cambodia will continue strengthening travel facilitation mechanisms and improving service quality and hospitality standards to ensure that all tourists enjoy excellent experiences and memorable stays while visiting Cambodia. On this occasion, H.E. the Minister also warmly invited and welcomed Chinese tourists to experience new and diverse tourism offerings through two special campaigns simultaneously: the “Visa Exemption Policy” and the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign. These initiatives encourage visitors to personally discover Cambodia’s tourism potential, natural attractions, cultural heritage, coastal destinations, wellness tourism, and rich culinary tourism experiences. It should be noted that the Cambodia Tourism Roadshow serves as an important B2B platform for the Cambodian and Chinese private sectors to strengthen cooperation, explore new partnerships, and promote tourism exchanges between the two countries.
