**Chheng Kimlong: Track II Dialogue Key to Advancing Cambodia–Thailand Relations
BEIJING – Cambodia, China, and Thailand concluded the second Track II dialogue in Beijing on April 20–21.
Chheng Kimlong, President of the Asian Vision Institute and a participant in the dialogue, said the platform enables scholars, researchers, and think tanks to engage in open, candid discussions on sensitive issues, generating policy ideas that can inform official (Track I) negotiations.
As the second dialogue following the February 2026 meeting, it reflects growing momentum, contributing to peacebuilding and the normalization of relations between Cambodia and Thailand, while building on the spirit of the Fuxian Consensus established at the Fuxian Meeting led by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
He also highlighted China’s important role in facilitating dialogue and promoting peaceful solutions, while encouraging Thailand to return to negotiations with sincerity.**
