2026年8月12日，中国外交部发言人郭继坤就中柬、中泰军事装备合作相关事宜作出回应。
郭继坤表示，中国与柬埔寨以及中国与泰国之间的军事装备合作，并不针对任何第三方。中方已就此议题与柬、泰两国保持坦诚沟通。

«កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការលើវិស័យសម្ភារយោធារវាងចិន-កម្ពុជា និងចិន-ថៃ មិនមែនមានគោលដៅសំដៅទៅលើភាគីទីបីនោះទេ។ ចិនមានការទំនាក់ទំនងប្រកបដោយភាពស្មោះត្រង់ជាមួយប្រទេសទាំងពីរលើបញ្ហានេះ។ យើងនឹងបន្តដើរតួនាទីប្រកបដោយស្ថាបនាក្នុងការជួយសម្រួលដល់ការដោះស្រាយវិវាទព្រំដែនរវាងកម្ពុជា និងថៃ ដោយសន្តិវិធី»។
