Cambodia Exhibits MK-84 Bomb as Evidence of Thai Border Conflict
PHNOM PENH, June 23, 2026 – Cambodia's national mine action agency has put on display the remains of an MK-84 aerial bomb that it says was dropped by a Thai F-16 fighter jet during the recent Cambodia-Thailand border conflict, describing the ordnance as historical evidence of the fighting.
Heng Ratana, director-general of the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC), said the nearly one-tonne bomb had been safely rendered harmless before being transported to CMAC headquarters in Phnom Penh for public display.
