PHNOM PENH, 27 June 2026 - China has expressed its support for a peaceful resolution of the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute, urging both countries to settle their differences through existing bilateral agreements, according to a spokesman for Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen.
Speaking at a press conference on 27 June to brief reporters on Hun Sen's recent visit to China, spokesman Chea Thyrith said the border issue was discussed during Hun Sen's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
