2026年10月27日下午，柬埔寨副首相兼外交与国际合作大臣布拉索昆在外交部会见德国新任驻柬埔寨大使西尔克·罗费尔。
布拉索昆对罗费尔履新表示祝贺和欢迎，并承诺在其驻柬任期内提供全面支持与密切配合。罗费尔重申，将致力于进一步加强两国双边关系。

On the afternoon of 27 October 2026, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call from Her Excellency Silke Röfer, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister warmly welcomed and congratulated Her Excellency Silke Röfer on her appointment as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cambodia. His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister also assured Her Excellency the Ambassador of his full support and close cooperation throughout her diplomatic mission in Cambodia. In response, Her Excellency the Ambassador reaffirmed her commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the long-standing bilateral relations and fruitful cooperation between Cambodia and Germany in key priority areas, including trade, investment, agro-industry, environmental protection, education, people-to-people exchanges, the fight against online scams and transnational crime, and mine-clearance. Both sides also highly appreciated the exchange of high-level visits, consultations between the two countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and inter-ministerial consultations on development cooperation and economic partnership.
His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the German Government for its valuable contributions to Cambodia’s socio-economic development, as well as for Germany’s support for the peaceful resolution of the Cambodia–Thailand border issue in accordance with international law and existing bilateral agreements.
Taking this opportunity, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister briefed the Ambassador on the latest developments concerning the Cambodia-Thailand border situation and reiterated Cambodia’s commitment to resolving the border’s dispute through peaceful means, based on international law and existing agreements. The Deputy Prime Minister also apprised the Ambassador of the maritime boundary issue between the two countries, focusing on the conciliation process of the Conciliation Commission under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
