柬埔寨第一夫人呼吁支持坤塔帕花医院万人募捐活动

**First Lady Calls for Public Support for Kantha Bopha Fund’s “10,000 Riel, 10,000 People” Campaign**   AKP Phnom Penh, May 30, 2026 --   First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Honorary President of the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation, has called on Cambodian citizens at home and abroad to support the Foundation’s 2026 “10,000 Riel, 10,000 People” campaign to help ensure the sustainability of Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals.   In a public appeal released for the campaign, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony highlighted the vital role of Kantha Bopha hospitals in providing free, high-quality healthcare services to children and pregnant women across Cambodia for more than three decades.   She noted that since 1992, the hospitals have examined and treated more than 27.5 million children and pregnant women free of charge, without discrimination, making them a source of hope for millions of Cambodian families.   According to the Honorary President, Kantha Bopha hospitals require approximately US$45 million annually to continue delivering medical care and life-saving services to Cambodian children.   To support this mission, the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation has continued to organise the “10,000 Riel, 10,000 People” campaign, encouraging citizens and philanthropists to contribute according to their means in the spirit of national solidarity.   Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony stressed that while 10,000 Riel (about US$2.5) may seem like a modest amount, collective contributions can provide medicines, blood supplies, medical equipment, and critical support for healthcare professionals caring for children.   She emphasised that donations to the Foundation are not only financial contributions but also investments in saving children's lives, supporting families, and strengthening Cambodia’s future human resources.   On behalf of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and herself, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony appealed to all citizens and donors to join the campaign, affirming that “regardless of circumstances, Cambodians continue to help Cambodians.”   By C.
