The official launch marks a pivotal advancement in the Kingdom’s public health infrastructure, establishing a specialized medical center dedicated to cancer screening, early diagnosis, surgical intervention, and advanced oncology care. Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized that the modernization of the hospital aligns directly with national health policy goals to strengthen healthcare quality, build specialized medical human resources, integrate cutting-edge technology, and expand services toward Universal Health Coverage. Demonstrating its growing operational role in the national health system, the facility has delivered substantial medical services to the public. As of July 31, 2026, Luong Mae Hospital provided outpatient consultations to more than 230,000 individuals and admitted over 20,000 inpatient cases.
