Even though they are 100 kilometres away from last year’s conflict zones, the threat of more fighting frightens the villagers in Koh Kong province’s Sre Ambel district. They tell Khmer Times journalist Som Sotheary they worry over the protracted tension, with some even preparing emergency supplies amid a ceasefire, as they urge leaders to prevent an escalation between Cambodia and Thailand.
