Lars Aage Haaland Christiansen first came to Cambodia in 2003. On his fifth visit he thought he knew the country. He did not expect to plug an electric pickup into a charger in Phnom Penh and watch it fill in about two hours, with no improvising and no small crowd gathering to help.
