旅游部完成旅游业法律培训 旨在提升官员监管能力

H.E. Minister Huot Hak: "Strengthening the capacity of officials in legal work is not merely about enhancing technical knowledge, but rather about strengthening institutional capacity and human capital. This directly contributes to reinforcing the rule of law and governance, while ensuring the development of Cambodia's tourism sector remains resilient, sustainable, and inclusive." H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the closing ceremony of the "Training Course on Strengthening Official Capacity in Tourism Sector Legal Work." The training aimed to impart updated knowledge and strengthen the capacity of Ministry of Tourism civil servants at both the ministry level and across capital-provincial tourism departments regarding the fundamentals of drafting laws and legal norms. The goal is to ensure consistency, compliance, coherence, and legal certainty in both form and substance. The grand ceremony, held at the Ministry of Tourism’s main conference hall, was attended by H.E. Seang Phalla, Under Secretary of State and Head of the Secretariat of the Legal Council of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; ministry leadership; guest speakers; and approximately 300 trainees. Speaking at the event, the Minister highlighted that drafting laws and legal instruments is a crucial priority receiving high attention from the Royal Government. Under the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly, led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, the government launched the "Strategic Framework for Legal Reform Programs" to enhance the rule of law, efficiency, legal security, and adherence to regulations. He added that this training responds directly to the Ministry of Tourism's four priority work plans for internal institutional strengthening: Developing legal regulations to serve the tourism sector, Strengthening institutional capacity ,Building and developing human resources into human capital for tourism, Maintaining a harmonious environment across both national and sub-national units The Minister advised all trainees to continuously enhance their professional knowledge and capabilities, apply what they learned to their daily work with ownership and high responsibility, and share their expertise with colleagues within their respective units. He emphasized: "Every official must continue learning, upgrading their skills, and translating acquired knowledge into practical work results. Fostering a culture of sharing knowledge and experience is a key driver in building a stronger, more efficient, and effective institution." The training was organized across two sessions the first with 120 trainees and the second with 114 trainees conducted both in person and via video conference.
