**Bathing of the Buddha: New Year Tradition of Forgiveness and Blessings
PHNOM PENH – As part of Nokor Sankranta, people take part in a Buddhist statue procession on the final day of the Khmer New Year.
The ceremonial march begins at Wat Ounalom and moves to Wat Phnom for the Bathing of the Buddha ceremony.
The event, known as Srang Preah, is one of the most significant rituals held on Veareak Laeung Sak, the final day of the New Year celebrations.
