Our new working paper explores how decentralised food system governance at the district level can respond to these challenges. Focusing on District Technical Working Groups (DTWGs) in Boeng Sneh (Mekong Delta) and Boeng Ream (Tonle Sap).
While sustainability challenges remain — including limited budgets, technical capacity gaps, and incomplete institutional integration — the findings show that DTWGs offer a scalable mechanism to strengthen food security, climate resilience, and ecosystem sustainability in Cambodia’s floodplain regions.
