Beyond waiting for the sunrise, visitors admired Angkor Wat, took commemorative photographs, and learned about the value of Khmer architecture and civilization. Over the three days of the Angkor Equinox, from 21 to 23 September 2026, approximately 37,533 domestic and international visitors came to Angkor Wat to witness the sunrise along the temple’s central axis.
