**In Rural Preah Vihear, Two Girls Turn Dreams Into Grade A
PHNOM PENH – Despite concerns over last year's border conflict, two female students from Preah Vihear province earned Grade A in this year's high school diploma exams.
Sarun Chansomnang and Nutsothea Ponita, best friends from Chea Sim Tbeng Meanchey General and Technical High School, are among four students from the province to achieve the top grade.
Both students said they felt relieved after a peace agreement was signed between Cambodia and Thailand. The border dispute had caused concerns about their safety and left them uncertain about continuing their education.
Chansomnang, 16, is now in Phnom Penh, where she plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in economics, while Ponita, 17, is preparing for her entrance exam to the University of Health Sciences.
