**International arrivals to Cambodia dropped by nearly half in past eight months**
The global economic crisis and rising fuel prices have combined with what the Ministry of Tourism referred to as “domestic challenges” to have a significant negative impact on Cambodia’s tourism industry. Just over two million international guests visited the Kingdom during the first eight months of 2026, down by nearly half compared with the same period last year.
