More than 200 Huione users gathered outside the Chinese Embassy in Phnom Penh on Monday to protest, with both men and women standing in the heat, holding Chinese flags, photos of Prime Minister Hun Manet, and posters bearing slogans demanding that their funds be returned, as police closely monitored the demonstration.
One Chinese protester told Kiripost that the purpose of the gathering was to seek "rights protection". He said a large police presence had surrounded protesters during the demonstration.
