The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Cambodian Investment Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, has convened the fifth Single Window Meeting of 2026 to evaluate a major application to establish the Manhattan II Special Economic Zone in Svay Rieng province. The high-level inter-ministerial working session was chaired by H.E. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board, with participation from senior officials representing line ministries, state institutions, and the Svay Rieng provincial administration.
During the session, delegates and technical teams conducted a thorough review of the investment framework and development plans for the proposed Manhattan II project. The new economic zone is designed to expand upon the notable success of the original Manhattan Special Economic Zone, which was established in 2004 across 315 hectares of land. As one of Cambodia’s earliest and most successful industrial hubs, the original zone pioneered cross-border manufacturing in Bavet town, creating thousands of jobs and serving as a critical engine for regional economic growth.
