**During an official signing ceremony between Kampong Thom Province and the City of Angoulême on August 24, Governor Nuon Pharat briefed leaders of France’s Charente Department and City of Angoulême on the ongoing Thai military incursions and the illegal occupation of Cambodian territory, which have displaced thousands of families.
Governor Nuon Pharat visited France on the occasion of the 19th Angoulême Francophone Film Festival (that is, the 19ᵉ Festival du Film Francophone d’Angoulême) to sign a Letter of Intent establishing an official partnership between Kampong Thom Province and the City of Angoulême.
