**Cambodia defends UN rapporteur’s balanced assessment after Thai criticism**
Cambodia has defended the work of UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia Thomas Andrews following criticism from Thailand, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation saying permanent secretary of state Eat Sophea appreciated what she described as the rapporteur’s “comprehensive and balanced approach” to assessing the human rights situation in Cambodia.
