**‘No rubbish, no excuses’: Pursat governor holds commune chiefs accountable for cleanliness**
Pursat provincial governor Khoy Rida has issued a stern message to local authorities through the slogan, “Where there is a commune chief, there must be no rubbish; where there is rubbish, there should be no commune chief”, as part of efforts to strengthen accountability for environmental sanitation. Thanks to the measure, he claimed that “approximately 90 to 95 per cent” of public roads and residential areas in the province are now garbage-free.
