Cambodia and Thailand yesterday began the first meeting of a United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) Conciliation Commission in Singapore, starting a three-day process to establish the framework for addressing their maritime dispute after Bangkok terminated the countries’ 2001 maritime claims agreement earlier this year.
