Spanning across crucial agricultural zones, the rehabilitation project is designed to provide sustainable water management and irrigation to more than 900 hectares of local farmlands. The progress of this vital hydrological development was verified during an on-site inspection conducted on May 15, 2026, by Thang Viyouthda, the Director of the Engineering Department at the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology. The Svay Meas Canal system serves as a geographical lifeline for rural communities, winding through Sampong Chey commune in Cheung Prey district and expanding into Boeng Nay commune within Prey Chhor district. Upon completion, the comprehensive project will feature a total rehabilitated length of 4,360 meters alongside the construction of 12 strategic engineering structures.
