On the morning of 22 April 2026, at the Ministry, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by His Excellency Luiz de Albuquerque Veloso, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Portugal to the Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Bangkok.
Her Excellency the Permanent Secretary of State highlighted the long-standing friendship and close cooperation between Cambodia and Portugal. The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of trade, investment, and tourism. During the discussions, Her Excellency the Permanent Secretary of State also provided an update on the current situation of the Cambodia-Thailand border.
