Cambodia and Russia have launched a joint tourism roadmap aimed at pulling more Russian holidaymakers, investors and entrepreneurs into the Kingdom, with the Ministry of Tourism admitting it cannot simply wait for Russians to discover the country on their own.
The "Cambodia Tourism Roadmap to the Russian Market" was announced on the afternoon of Thursday 18 September at the Ministry of Tourism in Phnom Penh. It is a joint initiative of the ministry and BRICS House Cambodia, the Russian business office that opened in the capital earlier this year, and is meant to sell Cambodia not only as a holiday destination but as a place for Russians to put money into tourism, property and related sectors.
