**Angkor ticket sales down one-third in Q1 as conflicts hit tourism**

**Global economic fragility, rising fuel prices, armed conflict in the Middle East and tensions along the Cambodia–Thailand border have all been cited as contributing to a sharp decline in ticket sales to the Angkor Archaeological Park in the first quarter of 2026. The number of visitors reached just over 270,000 — down nearly one-third compared to the same period in 2025.
