柬埔寨旅游部与中国云南省代表团会晤，探讨通过“媒体+旅游”模

Ministry of Tourism and Yunnan Province Strengthen and Expand Tourism Cooperation and Two-Way Tourist Arrivals Through the Integration of “Media + Tourism” H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, received a high-level delegation from Yunnan Province led by H.E. Peng Bin, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Civilization Office of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, for a courtesy call and in-depth discussions on strengthening and expanding cooperation between Cambodia and Yunnan Province in the fields of tourism, culture, and media promotion at the Ministry of Tourism Headquarters. Speaking at this important meeting, H.E. the Minister highly praised, commended, and expressed his sincere appreciation to the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and Yunnan Radio and Television Station for their continued support and close cooperation in promoting Cambodia’s tourism and cultural potential through tourism promotion programs, tourism events, and the production of numerous documentary videos, which have significantly contributed to enhancing Cambodia’s image and tourism appeal in the Chinese market. At the same time, H.E. Peng Bin expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Ministry of Tourism and reaffirmed Yunnan Province’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism in tourism and cultural promotion, media exchanges, joint event organization, and the facilitation of two-way tourist travel between Cambodia and Yunnan Province in a more effective and comprehensive manner, particularly through the integration of “Media + Tourism.” In response, H.E. the Minister expressed his full support for the proposed “Media + Tourism” initiative, emphasizing that it will serve as an important mechanism for expanding Cambodia’s tourism market in China, particularly in Yunnan Province.Taking this opportunity, H.E. the Minister also briefed the delegation on Cambodia’s political, economic, social, and tourism situation, emphasizing that Cambodia continues to maintain peace, stability, security, and public order, which provide a strong foundation for tourism development and investment attraction. He further highlighted that under the sound leadership and long-term vision of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Seventh-Mandate Royal Government has identified tourism as a priority sector for driving national economic growth and improving the livelihoods of the Cambodian people, in line with the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase I. In conclusion, H.E. the Minister requested Yunnan Province to continue supporting and promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential through Chinese media outlets, social media platforms, and influencer networks, including the production of promotional videos, documentary films, and live-streaming content to bring the “Wonder of Cambodia” closer to the Chinese people, promote Cambodia’s tourism destinations and UNESCO World Heritage sites, and encourage greater two-way tourist travel between Cambodia and China. He also called on Yunnan Province to help promote Cambodia’s visa exemption policy for Chinese tourists and continue supporting the organization of FAM Trips for Chinese journalists, tour operators, content creators, and filmmakers to visit Cambodia, experience its tourism potential firsthand, and produce promotional content that will attract more Chinese tourists and investors to the Kingdom.
