The 7th ACMECS Tourism Ministers' Meeting Adopts the Joint Action Plan on ACMECS Tourism Cooperation 2026–2028 to Increase Intra-ACMECS Tourists and International Tourists from Third Countries With the high approval of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and on the occasion of leading a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and the private sector to participate in the 20th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE-HCMC 2026), H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism led the Ministry's high-level delegation to attend the 7th ACMECS Tourism Ministers' Meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. The meeting was attended by Their Excellencies Ministers and representatives of the Governments of Cambodia, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. The 7th ACMECS Tourism Ministers' Meeting brought together the tourism ministers and representatives of the five ACMECS member countries, Cambodia, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, in line with the spirit of the Ayeyawady–Chao Phraya–Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) aimed to strengthen tourism cooperation among ACMECS member countries, promote the connectivity of shared tourism destinations, and advance sustainable tourism development and the competitiveness of the ACMECS region. During this meeting, the five member countries took note of the Report of the 7th ACMECS Senior Tourism Officials' Meeting and adopted the Joint Action Plan on ACMECS Tourism Cooperation 2026–2028, as well as the Joint Statement of the 7th ACMECS Tourism Ministers' Meeting. The Joint Action Plan identifies key priority areas, including the development and connectivity of joint tourism products, facilitation of travel and transport connectivity among ACMECS member countries, joint tourism marketing and promotion, human resource development in the tourism sector, promotion of digital technology in tourism, and sustainable tourism development. Through this productive international meeting, the five ACMECS member countries agreed to continue implementing the shared vision through the development of joint tourism packages, strengthening travel and transport connectivity among member countries, jointly promoting ACMECS tourism destinations, enhancing tourism human resource capacity, and encouraging greater participation from the private sector and international partners aiming to increase intra-ACMECS tourists among member countries and attract international tourists from third countries, while further strengthening tourism cooperation, trade, and investment, and delivering tangible shared benefits to the ACMECS member countries and their peoples. 13th of the Official Working Visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Ho Chi Minh City, 27 August 2026 #Cambodia #CambodiaKingdomOfWonder #greenseasoncambodia #ministryoftourismcambodia #huothak
