Huot Hak Leads a Working Team to Offer Rainy-Season Candles and Religious Offerings to Monks at Svay Pagoda in Baray District, Kampong Thom Province Kampong Thom Province: H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, Vice Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group for Kampong Thom Province, and Chairman of the Working Group for Baray District, led the working team and accompanying delegation in bringing Rainy-Season Candles, religious offerings, and monetary offerings to present to the monks residing at Svay Pagoda in Baray District, Kampong Thom Province. The ceremony was organized in accordance with Buddhist traditions and was attended by the First and Second Vice Chairmen, H.E., Lok Chumteav, Vice Chairmen of the Working Group for Baray District, H.E. and Lok Chumteav, Chairmen of the Working Groups for all 10 communes, Mr. Khon Chanthai, Governor of Baray District, H.E., Lok Chumteav, Oknha, and Ladies and Gentlemen, Vice Chairmen of the Working Groups for the communes, authorities at all levels, as well as a large number of Buddhist devotees. On this occasion, H.E. the Minister conveyed the heartfelt greetings and well-wishes of the country’s top leaders to the venerable monks, grandfathers, grandmothers, and all citizens. H.E. the Minister emphasized that the offering of Rainy-Season Candles to the monks on this occasion was organized to contribute to preserving, promoting, and supporting Buddhism, which is the religion of the State. The ceremony concluded in a joyful and spiritually uplifting atmosphere, with prayers for happiness and prosperity for the leaders, the people of Baray District and Kampong Thom Province, as well as the entire Kingdom of Cambodia. It should be noted that the religious offerings presented to the monks, lay temple elders, Ta Chi, and Yeay Chi included: robes, 1 pair of Rainy-Season Candles, 250 kilograms of rice, 30 cases of purified drinking water, instant noodles, condensed milk, canned fish, sugar, MSG, salt, fish sauce, soy sauce, and various monetary offerings.
