**Cambodia’s Pet Care Industry Grows as Animals Become Part of More Families PHNOM PENH — Cambodia’s veterinary profession has made significant progress as more families are beginning to treat dogs, cats and other animals as members of their households, according to Pauline Boydell, country manager of Animal Doctors International. Boydell, who has been based in Cambodia for more than three years, said that she has seen a major shift in attitudes toward pet care during her two decades of visiting and living in the country. Moreover, a growing interest in veterinary education and training among Cambodians is helping consolidate the profession, she said. Boydell encourages young veterinarians to continue expanding their knowledge and skills, and to find areas they are passionate about.
