Cambodia and Singapore Strengthen Anti-Scam Partnership
PHNOM PENH, April 28, 2026 — Cambodia and Singapore have discussed expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation to combat online scams and related transnational crimes, Cambodian officials said on Monday.
The talks took place during a meeting in Phnom Penh between Cambodian senior minister Chhay Sinarith, who heads the government’s anti-online scam committee, and Singapore Ambassador Steven Pang Chee Wee.
Cambodian officials said the discussions focused on legal mechanisms, enforcement strategies and future cooperation to tackle cyber-enabled fraud, money laundering, human trafficking and other cross-border crimes.
