Paris: Expanding international partnerships in high-technology sectors and promoting the peaceful, sustainable use of outer space have emerged as critical objectives within Cambodia’s long-term digital economy strategy. On September 9-10, 2026, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet appointed Minister of Post and Telecommunications Chea Vandeth to lead a high-level delegation to the inaugural International Space Summit in Paris, France.
Co-hosted by the French Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, the summit convened over 2,000 participants, including heads of state, heads of government, space ministers, and high-level representatives from more than 90 countries, along with leaders from international organizations and the private sector.
