This observation mission aims to provide the ASEAN Observer Team with a comprehensive and direct understanding of the situation at the border area, as well as to demonstrate the stance of the Royal Government of Cambodia, which consistently adheres to resolving border issues peacefully through dialogue and bilateral mechanisms, in accordance with international law, existing bilateral agreements, and the mandate of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC). The Royal Government and the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia reaffirm our firm, sincere, and unwavering commitment to fully and faithfully respect and implement the Joint Statement of the Third Special Meeting of the Cambodia–Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) on December 27, 2025, the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand on October 26, 2025, and all other relevant agreements. This commitment is made with the aim of ensuring rapid recovery and restoring normalcy, and long-lasting peace and stability.
