Korean Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam Expresses Support for Tourism Cooperation and Investment Opportunities in Cambodia As part of an official working visit to Ho Chi Minh City, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, leading a high level delegation from the Ministry of Tourism and Cambodia’s private sector to promote the “Visit Cambodia in Green Season” campaign, showcase Cambodia’s tourism potential, and strengthen tourism cooperation with regional countries and international partners, H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received Mr. Kim Nyoun Ho, Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (KOCHAM), and his senior delegation for a courtesy call and working discussion on tourism cooperation and investment opportunities in Cambodia. During this fruitful meeting, the KOCHAM delegation expressed its sincere appreciation to H.E. the Minister for receiving the delegation and providing the opportunity to present new initiatives to expand the business activities of KOCHAM members in Cambodia. On this occasion, KOCHAM also highlighted its strong interest in Cambodia’s tourism potential and reaffirmed its readiness to organize an official visit to Cambodia in the near future to explore the country’s tourism potential and investment opportunities firsthand. In response, H.E. the Minister highly appreciated and thanked the Chairman and members of KOCHAM for recognizing Cambodia as a safe tourism destination with tremendous potential for business expansion and investment. He noted that Cambodia is emerging as a rising diamond with abundant opportunities for investors and emphasized that the tourism sector has received strong support and incentives from the Royal Government of Cambodia. Tourism has been identified as a key pillar of the national economy under the wise and visionary leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Through this productive meeting, both sides reached a common understanding to strengthen tourism cooperation between the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (KOCHAM), the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, and Cambodia’s private sector.
