**Kampong Thom governor lauds flooded forest protection work**
Kampong Thom provincial governor Nuon Pharat has highlighted the efforts of his environmental officers, noting that approximately 100,000 hectares of flooded forest in Zone 3 of the Tonle Sap Lake within the province are being “strictly protected” with no new illegal encroachment, logging or occupation allowed in recent years.
