(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Wednesday, 5 August 2026, His Excellency KIM Sithan, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, accompanied by Their Excellencies and Lok Chumteavs, Secretaries of State, Under-Secretaries of State, the Secretary-General, Directors-General, Department Directors, and Institute Directors, granted an audience to 80 Cambodian scholarship awardees who will pursue higher education in the Czech Republic, Hungary, the European Union, Japan, and France for the 2026 academic year. The students paid a courtesy call on the Ministry's leadership and received valuable guidance and advice prior to their departure for overseas studies. On this occasion, His Excellency the Permanent Secretary of State expressed his great pleasure and extended his heartfelt congratulations to all scholarship recipients. He encouraged them to make the most of this valuable opportunity by pursuing academic excellence and acquiring advanced knowledge, professional skills, and new experiences in various fields, including science, engineering and technology, humanities, and social sciences.
