柬埔寨旅游部启动绿色旅游季 5至10月推6大特色体验

Cambodia’s tourism potential and Cambodia’s green season were showcased at the launch of the “EU - Here with You” campaign by the European Union Delegation to Cambodia At the invitation of the EU Embassy in Cambodia, H.E. Mr. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, attended the launch of the “EU - Here with You” campaign organized by the European Union Delegation Embassy in Cambodia with H.E. Igor Driesmans, EU Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. HUOT Hay, representing H.E. Khuong-Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality, leaders from the relevant institutions, national and international guests, and public at Chaktomuk Walk Street, Phnom Penh. The event was organized to showcase the strong strategic partnership and good cooperative relations between Cambodia and the EU, and to reflect the EU’s support for Cambodia, especially through youth engagement, cultural exchange, tourism, arts, and creative activities, etc. On this occasion, H.E Minister highlighted that tourism is a priority sector and an important economic pillar of the Royal Government of Cambodia in line with the Pentagon Strategy Phase 1 and stated that Cambodia is a safe, warm, hospitality and rich tourist destination with cultural, historical and natural potential that continues to attract tourists from around the world. Moreover, H.E Minister extend cordial invitation to national and international tourists to visit Cambodia during the green season from May to October to gain new experiences with beautiful green landscapes, rich culture and many special promotion package on accommodation, food and travel, in line with the slogan of the green season “6 Musts”: 1. Must see: Visit the natural scenery, lush forests, flowing waterfalls and lush green meadows. 2. Must stay: Relax in a guesthouse, resort or hotel filled with fresh air and with special discounts. 3. Must taste: Try local food, fresh fruits and special drinks during the rainy season. 4. Must see: Explore heritage sites, nature reserves and eco-tourism communities (such as the Angkor area, Mondulkiri or Ratanakiri provinces). 5. Must try: Experience jungle trekking, boating, bird watching and learning about indigenous cultures. 6. Must buy: Buy handicrafts, natural agricultural products and souvenirs from local communities.
