(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Friday, 11 September 2026, His Excellency LONG Kemvichet, Director General of the General Directorate of International Trade, participated in the 6th Cambodia–Australia Senior Officials’ Talks (SOTs), co-chaired by His Excellency UN Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Her Excellency Michelle Chan, Deputy Secretary of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Talks were also attended by representatives from nine relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions, the Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, as well as officials from the Australian Embassy in Cambodia. The two sides expressed satisfaction with the positive development of their longstanding relations and discussed ways to further strengthen and broaden cooperation in priority areas, including the economy, trade and investment, defense and security, agriculture, agro-industry, clean energy, education, and mine clearance. His Excellency Director General of International Trade briefed the meeting on the growth in bilateral trade between Cambodia and Australia, as well as directions for cooperation under bilateral, regional, and multilateral frameworks.
