**Cambodia Kicks off International Scams Conference
PHNOM PENH – Cambodia has opened the International Conference on Combating Online Scams, with 700 participants from 27 countries. Top leaders have made a joint commitment to eradicate the scam ecosystem that affects people worldwide.
Held under the theme “Acting Together towards Breaking the Chain and Eradication of Online Scams,” the conference runs in Phnom Penh on September 23 and 24.
It brings together governments, international organizations, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, technology companies, academia and other stakeholders to exchange experiences, share best practices, and strengthen collective efforts to deal with the growing global threat of online scams.**
