2026年5月27日，柬埔寨首相洪玛奈在特本克蒙省出席金氏橡胶加工厂开幕仪式时表示，德崇扶南运河项目将显著增强柬埔寨的物流与运输能力。
洪玛奈指出，目前柬埔寨仅有约15%至16%的货物通过本国港口直接运输，大部分货物需在邻国港口进行转运。德崇扶南运河建成后，将允许货物直接运输，减少对邻国转运的依赖，从而改善柬埔寨与国际市场的海运连接。

Hun Manet Highlights Economic Gains of Funan Techo Canal Project
TBONG KHMUM, May 27, 2026 — Prime Minister Hun Manet said the Funan Techo Canal project will significantly strengthen Cambodia’s transportation and logistics capacity by allowing goods to be shipped directly without relying on transit through other countries.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the Kim’s Rubber (Cambodia) processing factory in Tbong Khmum province on Wednesday, Hun Manet said Cambodia currently handles only around 15% to 16% of direct global shipping traffic through its own ports, forcing many cargo vessels to stop in neighboring countries for transshipment.
He said ongoing development at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, combined with the future completion of the Funan Techo Canal, would help Cambodia improve its direct maritime connectivity with international markets.
