Hun Sen Highlights Food and Energy Potential in Azerbaijan Relations
PHNOM PENH, May 12, 2026 — Cambodia’s acting head of state Hun Sen called for deeper economic cooperation between Cambodia and Azerbaijan on Tuesday, saying the two countries could complement each other through food and energy trade.
Hun Sen made the remarks during a meeting in Phnom Penh with Elchin Amirbayov, special representative of the Azerbaijani president, according to Senate spokesperson Chea Thyrith.
The Cambodian leader welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation and described the visit as an important contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.
