Cambodia’s Rich Tourism Potential, True Situation, and Excellent Safety and Security Highlighted at the "Cambodia Tourism Roadmap to Vietnam" Program for Leading Vietnamese Tourism Associations and Operators With high authorization from Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and during a visit leading a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodian private sector to promote Cambodia’s tourism potential and the "Visit Cambodia in the Green Season" campaign, as well as to enhance tourism cooperation with Vietnam, H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the opening ceremony of the "Cambodia Tourism Roadmap to Vietnam." The event was attended by H.E. Nguyễn Trùng Khánh, Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), H.E. Touch Sopharath, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia to Vietnam, as well as representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the Cambodia Tourism Association, private tourism companies from both countries, and prominent influencers, totaling over 120 participants in Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In his opening remarks, H.E. Huot Hak expressed his great pleasure and sincere thanks to the leaders, relevant stakeholders, and Vietnamese tourism partners for their support and cooperation in organizing this event. He highlighted the occasion as an important platform for promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and making tourism cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam more active and practical, especially as a key opportunity for business networking and collaboration between tourism companies of both nations. At the same time, the Minister highlighted the progress and growth of Cambodia's tourism sector regarded as "Green Gold" under the shade of hard-won peace achieved by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen. This is evidenced by Cambodia hosting major high-level international events, including:The Global Exchange Summit (GX Summit 2026): Bringing together nearly 1,000 tourism operators from across all continents.The 20th Francophonie Summit: Along with side events such as the "Francophonie Village" and "Francotech," featuring the participation of heads of state and government from over 90 countries, as well as leaders of multinational corporations worldwide. Finally, H.E. Huot Hak appealed to representatives of tourism associations, the private sector, experts, and national and international tourism partners to help broadcast the peace, stability, and rich tourism potential of Cambodia to attract tourists and investors to visit and invest in Cambodia a safe and stable destination for visitors and investors alike. It should also be noted that Cambodia will host the Global Exchange Summit (GX Summit 2026) from September 23 to 28, 2026, in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, as well as the 20th Francophonie Summit in November 2026, alongside side events including the "Francophonie Village" and "Francotech." 3rd event of the official working visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
