**UNESCO and the US Pledge to Continue Supporting Cambodia’s Cultural Heritage Preservation
SIEM REAP - Representatives from UNESCO and the U.S.Embassy have assured Cambodia of their continued support of the country’s preservation efforts at its World Heritage sites. **
**Interviewed on Oct. 1 while they were at the Angkor Archaeological Park, they stressed the importance of Angkor Park, Preah Vihear temple and the Koh Ker site. **
**Katherine Diop, counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S.Embassy, has praised the Cambodian authorities’ efforts that led to the repatriating of more than 900 looted artefacts from different parts of the world—objects that were lost during the years of turmoil in the country’s recent history. **
