8th Cambodia–Lao PDR–Myanmar–Viet Nam (CLMV) Tourism Ministers’ Meeting Adopts the 2026–2028 Joint Action Plan to Boost Tourist Flows Among Member Countries With the high approval of Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and on the occasion of leading a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and Cambodia’s private sector to participate in the 20th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2026), H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, led a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Tourism to attend the 8th Cambodia–Lao PDR–Myanmar–Viet Nam (CLMV) Tourism Ministers’ Meeting, with the participation of ministers and senior officials responsible for tourism from the CLMV member countries, in Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. The 8th CLMV Tourism Ministers’ Meeting was held within the framework of tourism cooperation among Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Viet Nam. The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding spirit of cooperation and commitment to implementing a shared vision aimed at promoting joint tourism development, enhancing cross-border travel connectivity, strengthening capacity building, and encouraging greater private-sector participation in regional tourism development. During this important and fruitful meeting, the four countries took note of the report of the 8th CLMV Senior Tourism Officials’ Meeting and adopted the CLMV Tourism Cooperation Joint Action Plan 2026–2028, as well as the Joint Statement of the 8th CLMV Tourism Ministers’ Meeting. These key documents will provide strategic direction for more effective tourism cooperation among the four countries and contribute to achieving tangible and mutually beneficial outcomes. Through this productive international meeting, the four countries agreed to further advance the implementation of the 2026–2028 Joint Action Plan through joint tourism destination promotion; facilitation of travel and cross-border tourism connectivity; capacity building for tourism officials; stronger participation of the private sector and local communities; and expanded cooperation with international development partners. These efforts aim to promote sustainable and responsible tourism development in line with the shared vision of the four countries and to generate mutual benefits for the countries and peoples of all CLMV member states. 12th Programme of the Working Visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
